Your average store bought toothpaste uses chemicals to strip your enamel and then use another chemical to protect your teeth from the sensitivity, and if they were considerate they advised you to call poison control if swallowed!
Eliminate the problem and get a solution that works, it's natural, and you can make it with what you already have at home.
Ingredients:

Baking Soda - add to make paste consistency
Coconut Oil - 1/2 cup
Peppermint Oil - 20 - 30 drops
Eucalyptus Oil - 20 - 30 drops
(optional Peroxide 2%) 1tbsp
Directions:
1. Mix oils together add peppermint, eucalyptus and coconut to taste.
2. Add Baking Soda to oils until a loose paste is made.
3. Place teeth cleaner in a solid glass container with cover and store in a cool dry place.
4. If you want to add extra whitening to your mix add 1 teaspoon of 2% peroxide

Bryophyllum calycinum, Bryophyllum pinnatum, Kalanchoe pinnata
It is a succulent, perennial with a fleshy cylindrical stem that is a native to Madagascar. It is also a common house plant in the Caribbean & Asian households for its medicinal benefits. Leaf of life is a great selection for a house plant that can be moved out to the patio or terrace during the summer.
Outdoors, it will need to be protected from the frost, & requires part sun exposure. Soil should be kept moist or slightly moist. These plants can grow up to 3' or 4' tall, so stake them should they start to bend or curve.
